4CC Men's Long

The 4CC's  long program star was not a skater but an obstacle.  The altitude took lead role and played havoc on our male skaters. It was a tale of survival for one, as extreme measure had to be taken. We begin Chadrama part II.

Richard Dornbush: He bombs again. Ouch. I was hoping he was going to pull up in the long like he did at nationals. I feel sorry for him. I hope he didn't feel extra pressure by taken Abbott's and what fans perceived to be Armin's spot. Wonder how the federation feels about this?

Christopher Caluza: A very strong skate from my new fave. A few step outs and bobbles. Pop his last double axel. This program was very dry and no where as entertaining as his short. Still believe he has great potential and is going places.

Nan Song: It was a struggle. Ironically he hit everything in the second half and messed up the first half. Fall quad toe, miss quad toe triple, hit triple axel combo, pop second triple axel. Song is dying in the kiss and cry. He had to have an oxygen mask. Colorado is trying to kill our boys. Nan have so much potential artistically, he listens to the music and has great energy and speed, Just need to refine his movements.

Adam Rippon: He did very well, no altitude problems here. Went for the quad salcow again. Severely underotated and two footed.  He is so much more consistent on his triple axel. Its a shame he popped the second one. I love his triple flip + triple salcow combination. As far the program overall I am already tired of it and ready for him to try something fresh. New Season Best. Hurray!

Kevin Reynolds: He is so skinny, swear he could wear a size zero. Just saying. Hits the qaud salcow. Pops his quad loop and toe. Was hoping to see him complete the three quad long, better luck next time. I have to say I prefer his choreography and program to Adam's. It  is a lot more entertaining, dynamic, and emotional. I never thought I would be saying that about Reynolds.

Misha Ge: He did a great job. Solid jumps. The highlight of his program is his step sequence. He had so much energy I thought the boy was possessed by a daemon. I was about to perform an exorcism. You got to watch it.

Jeremy Ten: Beautiful program but once again the jumps are not there.

Tatsuki Machida: He missed the quad toe. Too many mistakes to medal and it really affected the presentation of his long program. To bad, though he had a good chance to medal.

Daisuke Takahashi: Two footed quad toe attempt. Popped axel. He can't win with that. Still performed though and I would still have his baby.

Patrick Chan: Let him skate clean so the Chan haters won't come out. He lands a beautiful quad toe+triple toe. Like butter I say. Another gorgeous quad. The crowd is going wild. And he has gotten over those pesky triple axel issues. Yayy! Clean program with just a few bobbles. His long program his so soothing, it reminds me how I felt watching Buttle's long at 2008 Worlds. He was amazing and scored a new season best blowing away the competition by thirty points. Undefeated and Untouchable.

Denis Ten: His inconsistency came up again. He has so much potential. Hopefully he can bring it together one day.

Takahito Mura. He had a lackluster performance. He doubled the quad toe, triple salcow, and triple flip. Probably finish be good enough to pull him up on the season best list. May get a grand prix event next year.

Ross Miner: He is such a solid and strong skater. He did well. Good enough to take the broze medal. Congratulations. And that concludes the men at 4CC.
