After watching Amelie and Cynthia short, I don't think it matters who Canada sends to worlds. But Amelie looks so unhappy in the kiss and cry. To much drama.
Mao Asada: She brought back the triple Axel. Don't clap yet it was under rotated and two footed. Solid skate over all. I wish she didn't wait until her step sequence to start paying attention to the music. Her short has potential to be fantastic.
Ashley Wagner: Dare I say American ladies are back. I love that dress. Would have thought it popped right out of Moulin Rouge. A sucessful 3flip +3toe combonation. Slightly two footed. Great double axel and triple loop and nice spins too. A season best and she is so close to first.
Kanako Murakami: She was on FIRE! I was enthralled from the beginning to end. Big triple toe +triple toe combo to open. The first toe had delayed rotation. Ok spins but the jumps where so strong. Personally, based on performance and entertainment, I would have put her in first. Another season best. I would have been happy with Kanako first, Asheley second, and Mao third. Just saying.
Kexin Zhang: She has big jumps and spins like a dust devil. Big triple flip + triple toe. Too bad she fell on her lutz. Could us some artistry. Will be watching her in the future.
Caroline Zhang: No they are not sisters and yes Americans are back with vengeance. Triple loop +triple loop combo. Huge step out but she attacked it. Triple Flip with greatly improved technique. Nice double axel and she topped it off the her signature pearl spin. Redemption taste so sweet. Season best and is 4th
Agnes Zawadzki: She fell on her opening jump but was solid everywhere else. Just can't get into her skating at all. Almost as if she is lumbering about. Maybe it is her long limbs.
Even though the stands were quite empty, (chirp chirp)I still have the standing after the short.
